Why we invested
India’s spices industry, valued at $16.8 billion in 2022 and growing at a 10% CAGR, dominates global production with a 70% share and accounts for one-third of global exports. Despite this leadership, the sector faces challenges such as fragmented supply chains, lack of traceability, underutilized processing capacities, and quality inconsistencies. These issues hinder India’s ability to unlock the full potential of its spices market, especially as global demand increasingly emphasizes sustainability and transparency.
Growcoms addresses these challenges through its managed marketplace model, integrating supply chains and leveraging idle manufacturing capabilities to ensure quality inspection, product development, and traceability.
